A Christmas Carol (sometimes referred to in coverage as a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens) is in development rather than being already for 2025.
On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, bound in heavy chains as a symbol of guilt and stinginess. Marley warns Scrooge that unless he changes his ways, he will suffer a similar fate. He tells Scrooge that three spirits will visit him.

The three spirits appear in turn:
-
The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge scenes from his own earlier life: moments of innocence lost, choices made, and the beginnings of his greed and isolation.
-
The Ghost of Christmas Present reveals how others celebrate the holiday now — including Bob Cratchit’s humble family and the suffering of his ill son, Tiny Tim. Scrooge begins to see the human cost of his actions.
-
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (or Future) delivers the darkest vision: what will happen if Scrooge does not change — including his own lonely death, the death of Tiny Tim, and the legacy of regret and loss.

Wakened from this supernatural journey, Scrooge awakens on Christmas Day with a transformed heart. He becomes generous, kind, and engaged with the world around him — helping the Cratchit family, reconnecting with his nephew, and embracing the spirit of Christmas.
