Meanwhile, a brilliant scientist named Dr. Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) becomes entangled in Peter’s world. She is dangerous, rebellious, and unlike anyone Peter has met since losing MJ—pulling him into a new conflict between love, trust, and responsibility.
As Kraven’s attacks on the city escalate, Peter discovers that the hunters are experimenting with multiversal DNA, attempting to create the “perfect predator.” This leads to the birth of a second threat: The Spider-Slayer, a hybrid creature with powers similar to Spider-Man himself.
